Note: When the time comes, and I hope it is a long time away, this is the sermon I wish someone to read or preach at my funeral.
Final Words from a Heart That Loves You
I will not sugarcoat this. I cannot. Eternity is too long, and the stakes are too high. Every soul that walks this earth will one day step into Eternity—ready or not, willing or not, believing or not. The question is not if we will face Eternity but how we will enter it.
Some step into glory, while others stumble into darkness—not because God willed it, but because they chose it.
The Reality of Two Destinations
Jesus made it clear: Heaven is real, and so is Hell. There is no middle ground, no "safety net" for the undecided, and no exit door once the final breath is drawn.
🔹 Heaven: A city built foursquare (Revelation 21:16), where the streets gleam with gold, the rivers run pure, and there is no sin, sickness, or sorrow. It is where our loved ones who knew Christ wait for us, hand in hand with Jesus Himself.
🔹 Hell: A place of outer darkness (Matthew 25:30), where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Not because God is cruel but because He is holy—and those who reject Him cannot dwell where He is.
The Tragedy of Waltzing Off Without Christ
I have seen much dancing, lost in the music of pride, pleasure, and procrastination (Including Myself). They push off the call of God, thinking there will always be time later. But the waltz of the world ends suddenly. The music stops. The curtain falls. The last breath is drawn.
And then? Judgment.
"And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." — Hebrews 9:27
I imagine it now—someone standing before the throne of God, their soul trembling, eyes darting for an escape. But no excuse, argument, or worldly success can change the fact that they rejected the only Name that could have saved them.
Jesus—The Only Way
If sincerity or good deeds could have saved us, there would have been no need for a Cross. But sin demanded payment, and Jesus paid it all—offering Salvation as a free gift to those who would simply repent and believe.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" — John 14:6
Heaven is not for the religious but for the redeemed, not for those who tried harder, but for those who surrendered completely.
The Mansion Waiting for Me
I do not fear death. I do not worry about Eternity because I know where I am going. Jesus promised a mansion in His Father's house (John 14:2). When my time comes, I will step onto streets of gold, breathe air untainted by corruption, and drink from a river that no man has polluted. I will see the faces of those I love, redeemed by the same Savior I worshipped.
And best of all? Jesus will be there.
But What About You?
I will not leave this world with unanswered questions. I know whom I have believed.
But do you?
If today were your last, where would you go? Would you step into the light—or fall into the abyss?
Would you run into Jesus' arms—or hear the dreadful words, "Depart from Me" (Matthew 7:23)?
I plead with you to stop waltzing toward destruction and step into the grace that is still available right now. Jesus is calling. Don't ignore Him. Don't delay.
Because once Eternity begins—there is no second chance.
Note: I have given many, many invitations to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior from Pulpits, Social media sites, and most effectively, one-on-one, face-to-face. But for the purpose of this sermon, I pray this invitation will be given as my last altar call as I enjoy my first week in Eternity.
Final Invitation: Say Yes to Christ
"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9
Say YES to Him. Turn from sin, believe in Jesus, and receive eternal life.
Because Eternity is not just coming—it's already here.
