The Destiny of Satan: Victory of the Kingdom.

Introduction:

Good morning, beloved congregation. Today, we delve into a subject that may seem dark, but through it, we find the promise of hope and the assurance of victory. We will explore Satan's destiny and the triumphant future that awaits us as believers.

**I. The Origin and Fall of Satan:**

1. **Lucifer's Original Position:**

- Scripture tells us that Satan, originally known as Lucifer, was a magnificent angel created by God. Ezekiel 28:12-15 describes him as "the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty."

- He was anointed as a guardian cherub and had a significant position in the heavenly realm.

2. **Pride and Rebellion:**

- Lucifer's downfall came through pride. Isaiah 14:12-15 depicts his desire to exalt himself above God, saying, "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High."

- This rebellion led to his expulsion from heaven, and he became Satan, the adversary.

**II. Satan's Activity in the World:**

1. **The Great Deceiver:**

- From the Garden of Eden to the present day, Satan's role has been to deceive and lead humanity astray. Genesis 3:1-5 shows how he deceived Eve by twisting God's words.

- Jesus calls him "the father of lies" in John 8:44, emphasizing his nature as a deceiver.

2. **The Accuser of the Brethren:**

- In Revelation 12:10, Satan is described as "the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night." His goal is to condemn and accuse God's people.

**III. The Defeat of Satan:**

1. **The Cross and Resurrection:**

The pivotal moment in Satan's defeat came through Jesus Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. Colossians 2:15 states, "Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."

- Through Christ's sacrifice, the power of sin and death was broken.

2. **The Final Judgment:**

- Revelation 20:10 tells us of Satan's ultimate fate: "The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."

- This judgment is final and irrevocable, marking the end of Satan's influence.

**IV. The Assurance for Believers:**

1. **Victory in Christ:**

- As believers, we have the assurance of victory through Jesus Christ. Romans 16:20 promises, "The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet."

- This victory is not just the future but is experienced daily as we walk in the authority of Christ.

2. **Living in the Light:**

- Ephesians 6:11-12 instructs us to "put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Our battle is spiritual, and our victory is assured through God's power.

**Conclusion:**

Beloved, while Satan's destiny is one of eternal defeat and punishment, our destiny in Christ is one of eternal victory and joy. Let us stand firm, rooted in the truth of God's Word, and live boldly as overcomers, knowing that the enemy's time is short and our victory is secure.
