The Danger of Delay.

**Opening Statement:**

In a world filled with distractions, it's easy to think there's always more time. More time to get things right, more time to settle down, more time to make that decision. But the reality is that we are not guaranteed tomorrow. We live in a generation that believes in delay, and it's a dangerous mindset, especially regarding the state of our souls.

**Message Focus:**

- **The Illusion of Time:**

One of our most significant lies is that there's always tomorrow. The enemy uses this to make us feel comfortable in our complacency. But Scripture tells us that our life is like a vapor—it appears for a little while and then vanishes. We cannot afford to delay the most important decision we will ever make: where we stand with God.

*"Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears briefly and then vanishes."* (James 4:14)

- **The Call to Urgency:**

The Gospel isn't just a message of hope; it's a message of urgency. God's grace is available now, but the time will come when the door of opportunity closes. The world tells us there is no rush, but the truth is that every day we delay, we are playing with eternity. We must respond while there is still time.

*"Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near." * (Isaiah 55:6)

*"Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know what day your Lord is coming."* (Matthew 24:42)

- **Grace is Available, But Not Forever:**

God's grace is abundant and available to everyone, but it's not a free pass to continue living as we please. Many believe they can come to God when they feel ready, but Scripture shows us that God's patience is limited. The opportunity for salvation won't last forever. That's why it's so important not to put off the decision to accept Christ and live for Him.

*"He has fixed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom He has appointed, and of this, He has given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead."* (Acts 17:31)

- **Don't Let Comfort Lead to Destruction:**

It's easy to fall into the trap of comfort—thinking everything is okay as long as life goes smoothly. But comfort can be deceptive. Just because things are good now doesn't mean we're safe from the consequences of delaying our commitment to God. The enemy wants us to be comfortable, distracted, and unaware of the ticking clock.

*"For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night."* (1 Thessalonians 5:2)

**Closing Call to Action:**

The world tells us there's no need to rush, but the Gospel tells us time is of the essence. Every moment we delay is a moment we risk missing out on eternity with God. Don't let the distractions and comforts of this world close your eyes to the urgency of your soul's condition. Respond to God's call now—while there is still time.

*“Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”* (2 Corinthians 6:2)
