Reasons I love Walker (My Dog)

I love my dog for many reasons, but some of the most profound are the lessons she has taught me about life.

1. She loves unconditionally,

2. Forgets grudges quickly,

3. And lives life in the present moment.

If more humans embodied some of these traits from my dog Walker, our World would be much better!

The Bible contains fitting examples throughout scripture that we can learn from to be more like Walker.

* One example is how Jesus was always forgiving, never holding onto a grudge or angry thought towards someone else—just like Walker. For instance, in Luke 6:37, Jesus says, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven”.

This is an incredible reminder that if we want to receive forgiveness, we must also give it—the same goes for our beloved four-legged friends!

Another timeless lesson that can be taken away from scripture is to “be still” (Psalms 46:10). While this seems like a difficult feat in our constantly connected World, it’s something Walker instinctively knows how to do every day perfectly. She takes time away from all the hustle and bustle of life to sit still and take everything happening around her—a skill I am using increasingly daily as well.

If humans could embody even half the unconditional love that pets have for us each day, our World would truly transform into something remarkable—we could learn so much from them if we took the time to listen! These are just a few things I love about Walker that I wish more humans were like. What about you? What more would you like to see in your World? Please share it with me below! 🐶❤️🌎
