Mini-Sermon: Examine Your Faith.

Beloved, God’s Word is crystal clear: those who continually practice sin will not inherit the Kingdom of God. The Scriptures in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and Galatians 5:19-21 detail the nature of such sin, while 1 John 3:6-9 declares that no one who abides in Christ keeps sinning without remorse or repentance. This calls for deep, honest reflection.

Paul urges us in 2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.” This is not a call to doubt your Salvation but to confirm it with the fruit of your life. Jesus said in John 3:3, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” To be born again is to experience transformation, moving from darkness into His marvelous light (John 3:16-21).

Romans 10:9-10 reminds us that Salvation comes through confessing with our mouths and believing in our hearts that Jesus is Lord. But true belief is evidenced by obedience. 1 John 2:3-6 states, “By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.” Thus, those in Christ strive to walk as He walked, marked not by perfection but by sincere pursuit and repentance.

So, beloved, pause today and thoroughly examine your faith. Are you walking in the light as He is in the light? Do you see the evidence of transformation and the Holy Spirit’s work within you? If you have doubts, know that the promise in 1 John 5:11-13 assures eternal life in His Son. Confess, seek, and renew your commitment to Christ—for He is faithful to receive all who turn to Him.

Let this be a moment of renewal as you affirm your heart’s standing with God.
