Hello, friends and followers! Allow me to introduce myself to those who don’t already know me.
I’m Pastor Terry Wayne Bailey, born in the historic town of Selma, Alabama, and raised in Camden, Alabama. My journey has taken me across states, nations, and seasons of life, molding me into who I am today. My life has been a tapestry woven with diverse experiences, from serving as a Military Security Specialist in the U.S. Air Force to navigating the rugged landscapes of Oregon as a logger and driving trucks across the United States and Canada.
At 28, I had a life-transforming encounter with Christ, which led me into pastoral ministry. For over twenty years, I’ve served various congregations, including 16 ½ years at the Family Worship Center in Butte, Montana. My roles have expanded beyond the pulpit as a Police Chaplain, Baseball Chaplain, and Marriage and Family Counselor, with nearly 45 years of experience counseling individuals and families.
My personal life has been a testimony of God’s grace. Having faced challenges such as overcoming alcoholism, battling cancer, and living with PTSD as a 100% Service-Connected Disabled Veteran, I stand as a witness to the power of God’s restoration. I’ve been married for 44 years, with a large and loving family that includes seven children, 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandsons!
My educational journey has also been diverse. I have degrees in theology from Christian accrediting agencies spanning Pentecostal, Nazarene, and Baptist traditions. This has equipped me to integrate God’s Word into counseling and preaching with a balanced and empathetic approach.
In retirement, I remain active, sharing messages of hope, grace, and truth. I also enjoy fly fishing (primarily when I used to be near the Big Hole River in Montana), photography, and golf when I get the chance.
Whether you’re seeking Biblical insights, encouragement, or to connect, I’m glad you’re part of this journey with me. Thank you for being here, and I pray that we continue to learn, grow, and encourage one another in the Lord!
Blessings,
Pastor Terry
