Terry Bailey · Shared with the Public Note: Growing up, we were taught to let our Conscience be our Guide. That is no longer sound advice; Why? First, let's look at the definition of Conscience:
Conscience is a unique eternal faculty enabling us to use reason to "FEEL" the difference between right and wrong. Three functions of conscience are: (1) feelings of what we ought to do, (2) feelings of self-approval when we do it, and (3) feelings of remorse when we don't.
Growing up, our Conscience was mostly in "Lock-Step" with The Holy Spirit. That is no longer true; the Conscience is primarily in "Lock-Step" with Me First, instead of doing unto others as you would them to do unto you.
1st Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their Conscience "seared" (no longer concern with or about God) with a hot iron;
So, today we must teach our children well before they are handed over to those who will challenge our parenting position based on their Faith and Conduct and replace it with what they think it should be. How do we do it? First, replace the definition of Conscience with The Holy Spirit: The definition of the Holy Spirit is a unique eternal faculty enabling us to use reason to "KNOW" the difference between right and wrong.
Three functions of The Holy Spirit are: (1) knowing what we ought to do, (2) knowing when we do it, and (3) knowing God's "feelings" when we don't.
Satan was the first "Gaslighter" (Gaslighters — people who try to control others through manipulation — will often accuse you of behaviors that they are engaged in themselves).
In today's society, be careful who is blaming who and about what. Why?
Because they could be talking about you!
